Micro Grants

While the proliferation of SaaS platforms and cloud services have significantly reduced the cost of validating startup concepts, founders still need to incur certain costs to launch a business.

Recognizing that these fees — such as the cost of forming a corporation or LLC — can represent a significant hurdle for student founders, we plan to offer micro grants in the amount of $500 or $1,000 to qualified iSchool startup teams.

We expect to publish the eligibility criteria and application process for the grants during the spring 2024 quarter, with the first grants to be awarded in summer 2024.

Separate from our micro grants, we plan to establish partnerships with cloud services vendors including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, so that iSchool startup teams can receive low- or no-cost access to popular cloud services platforms.
