iStartup Lab

Welcome to the iStartup Lab at the UW Information School

Whether you’re already working on a startup or are curious about the process of launching a new innovation-driven organization, our goal is to help you:

• Learn about entrepreneurship through courses and community events
• Meet other entrepreneurially-minded iSchool students
• Collaborate with your peers to build impactful new businesses and organizations
• Follow or contribute to the entrepreneurship research that’s being conducted at the iSchool

We also plan to provide micro grants to help iSchool startup teams offset the upfront costs of launching a new business.

Our resources are available to students across all of the iSchool’s academic programs, including Informatics, MLIS, MSIM, Museology, and Ph.D. We also welcome iSchool alumni to attend our community events, either to learn about entrepreneurship or to serve as mentors for our student founders.
